3-19-21 THOUGHTS

Dear ones, this will be my last post until Wednesday April 7, Lord willing.  We are vacationing in Oregon for a time.  We seek your prayers while we are gone.  We will pray for you.  I will miss this time of the morning.  

Our lives are given eternal meaning in Christ.  Heb 8:1   Now the main point in what has been said [is this:] we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
1Cor 7:23   Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

1Pet 1:3    Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,    
The power of this verse is the subject matter of the first chapter of first Peter.   The IMPLICATIONS ARE AWESOME!  They are meant to be LIFE ABSORBING!
OWNERSHIP IS CONTEMPLATED!  IS HE LORD OR NOT?  

1Pet 1:13-23     Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.  14  As obedient children, do not be conformed [compare Rom 12:2] to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,  15  but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior;  16  because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."  17  If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth;  18  knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,  19  but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.  20  For He was foreknown [all of prophecy is here]  before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you 21  who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 22  Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, 23  for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
You’ve just read the SENSE OF ETERNITY!            
PASS IT ON TO ANY WHO WILL LISTEN!

My Prayer:
How blessed we are O God to be your children.  Help us to hold the cost of that blessing deep in our hearts.  Teach us to fix our hope completely on the grace in the coming of Jesus.  May we allow you to own us O Lord.  Pierce our ears O Lord we pray.  In Jesus name   Amen
